Prep Time 15 minutes mins

Total Time 40 minutes mins
- 2 sheets ready-rolled puff pastry
- 95 grams pesto
- 125 grams grated Cheddar
- milk or beaten egg, to glaze
- 2 tbsp freshly chopped parsley
- Peppadew peppers, to decorate
Preheat your oven to 180C fan.
Unroll one sheet of pastry on a baking tray lined with baking parchment and brush all over with the pesto. Sprinkle over the Cheddar.
Top with the other sheet of pastry and press down.
Cut into a Christmas tree shape: a triangle with a rectangular trunk at the bottom. Save the offcuts - you can cook and eat these separately!
Cut lines through the pastry on each side of the tree, stopping when you reach the "trunk". Twist up each of these strips (like a cheese straw) and use some of the offcuts to make a star shape to place at the top of the tree.
Brush with the milk or beaten egg and cook for around 25 minutes, or until puffed up and golden brown.
Transfer carefully to a serving board. Sprinkle with the parsley and dot the Peppadew peppers over the branches. Serve with the dips of your choice!
