On September 2nd, caterer and restaurant operator Cleverchefs will be opening the doors to new 72-cover restaurant, The Vincent Kitchen.
Located in the beautifully refurbished Queen Victoria House in Redland, The Vincent Kitchen promises “luxurious casual dining in a light and stylishly designed restaurant overlooking the stunning arboretum garden”.
The new venue will be open for breakfast and lunch, and in the evenings, expect a calm and candlelit setting. Sunday lunches will also be on offer, with Cleverchefs’ vision being to create beautiful food that tastes delicious in their open-plan kitchen, using ethically and seasonally sourced ingredients.
Cleverchefs founder, Nick Collins, says, “We are delighted to be operating The Vincent Kitchen at Queen Victoria House which is now also home to Pegasus’ refurbished apartments. Cleverchefs decided to create an offer here that represented modern café culture, casual dining with a touch of luxury. Food-wise, we want that breath-taking initial reaction from our guests, we want to make them smile with food joy. Food has always made me smile.
“We have featured the name Kitchen due to the open theatre-style kitchen we offer where our guests will have the chance to dine at the chef’s bar and watch our cooking in action and maybe have a chat. The Vincent Kitchen will bring something brand new to the district and we look forward to welcoming guests to our dining experience from 2nd September.”
All of The Vincent Kitchen’s breads and pastries will be made on-site, while they also aim to source as many ingredients as possible from local suppliers. The menus will feature Cotswolds lamb, Herefordshire beef, Tetbury butter and Outthere Coffee, hand-roasted just outside Cardiff. They’ll also be using alternatives to plastic and other non-recyclable materials where possible.
The Vincent Kitchen is looking forward to welcoming guests when it opens on September 2nd. Opening hours will be Wednesday to Saturday 9am to 11pm with last bookings at 8.30pm, and on Sunday 9am to 6pm with last bookings at 4pm.
