The team behind Oxford-based Dodo Pub Co. will be opening their first Bristol venue, with the takeover of the Cross Hands in Fishponds.
The Staple Hill Road pub will be the seventh in their pub portfolio, and will be renamed as the All Inn when it opens its doors in May 2023.
Refurbishment works are set to start straight away, transforming the venue to give it the Dodo Pub Co “traditional, yet quirky, welcoming style”. On the menu, which you can see on their website, expect authentic slow-rise Neapolitan pizzas, dirty burgers, wings and a range of sides.
Co-founder Leo Johnson said: “We’ve been wanting to find the right place for a Dodo pub in Bristol for several years now. Two of us lived there for a while and we all love its vibrancy and the feeling of inclusion that seems to permeate the city. It’s got a great mix of pubs, bars and restaurants, and we firmly believe that our neighbourhood vibe will fit right in.”
