Chef Andrew Griffin continues Tart’s series of monthly supper evenings with a three course Portuguese menu. The dishes that he’s creating look fantastic – and I love the fact that the vegetarian options mirror the non-vegetarian alternatives so closely.

Grilled Cornish sardines, vine tomatoes, fresh herbs on sourdough toast

For vegetarians:

Grilled marinated goats’ cheese, vine tomatoes, fresh herbs on sourdough toast


Cozido a la Portugaise: chicken, pork, sausage and bean stew with saffron, herbs and spices

For vegetarians:

Portuguese bean, vegetable and caldo verde stew


Pasteis de nata: oranges in Madeira
